Laura Ann Carroll

Award-winning soprano Laura Carroll made her Miami University Opera debut as Margaret in the 2022 production of The Light in the Piazza. In the 2023 season, she sang the title role in Dido and Aeneas. Previously, she has sung in the operas Acis et Galatea and Pirates of Penzance. Laura received her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Miami where she was a student of Dr. Alison Acord. Laura currently studies with Mary Ann Powers in Cincinnati, OH.

Laura received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Dayton where she studied with Dr. David Sievers. Since that time, she has been teaching choir and voice in the Cincinnati area. She has also had the privilege to study voice with Professor Emeritus Mary Stucky through the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory School. In addition to her love for singing, Laura was a competitive Irish dancer for over 15 years.
